Ask a question and get answers from people who have done the thing already. Most of what is hard about living in another country is not knowing which office, which form, which queue or which price, and that knowledge sits with people a few months ahead of you.
How to get a useful answer
- Say where you are. Kathmandu and Pokhara, Seoul and Ansan, differ enormously.
- Say what status you hold. Almost every answer depends on your visa.
- Say what you have already tried, including which office turned you away.
- Ask one question. Three questions in one post gets one answered.
- Come back and say what worked. That is what makes the thread useful to the next person.
What not to rely on here
Anything consequential about visas, insurance, quotas or tax. Those change, and a well-meant wrong answer can cost you money or your status. Use the board to find the right door, then confirm with the authority.
For Korea, the immigration contact centre on 1345 is free, multilingual and definitive. For Nepal, start at your ward office, since more is handled locally than people expect - all Nepal covers which tier does what.
And nobody here can sell you a visa, a job or a quota place. If an answer arrives with a fee attached, that is the answer about the person. Work routes to Korea covers the warning signs.
If you want the written version
A great deal is already covered in the guides: Nepal, foreigners in Nepal, Korea and Nepalis in Korea. Searching those first often beats waiting for a reply.
Search before you post
Not a rebuke, just faster. A great deal is already written, and the answer to a visa or housing question is frequently a page away.
The written reference is Nepal and foreigners in Nepal for one country, Korea and Nepalis in Korea for the other, and Nepal and Korea for anything crossing between them.
If you read the page and it did not answer your situation, say that in your post. It makes the question sharper and it tells us which page needs work.
