Not general news. The news that changes how you live - a rule, a quota, a fee, a deadline, a price - from both countries, with the official source named so you can check it.

Feed Covers
Nepal news Rules, prices, transport, utilities, public services
Korea news Immigration, wages, insurance, housing policy, benefits
Nepal-Korea news EPS quotas, agreements, flights, remittance, embassies
Local news City-level updates from the places we cover
Government updates Official notices, summarised in plain language
Market insights Rents, salaries, exchange rates, prices over time
How-to guides Step by step, with documents, fees and offices
Life guides The things that take a whole afternoon the first time

Why we name the source

In this relationship the gap between an official notice and what circulates on social media is wide, and acting on the wrong version costs people money and sometimes their status.

So every item here links to the department, portal or notice it came from. If something matters to you, read the original, and for anything about your own case ring the authority - in Korea the immigration contact centre on 1345 is free and multilingual.

The pattern to watch for

A rumour of a quota increase or a new route is frequently the opening move of a fee-taking scheme. Nobody can sell you access to a government programme, and a fee attached to news is the clearest sign the news is worthless. Policy news and what to watch covers this in full.

What we do not cover

Worth being clear, because the omissions are deliberate.

Party politics, except where a decision changes something practical for a resident. There is no shortage of coverage elsewhere and this feed exists to stay short enough to read.

Breaking news as it happens. We are not a wire service, and a notice is more useful once somebody has read the original and worked out who it applies to.

Anything we cannot source. If there is no official notice or document behind it, it does not run here, however widely it is being repeated.
